Carey Place is a north/south street located in northwest Oklahoma City. According to popular legend, Carey Place was named for a child that was killed in the area and now haunts the street. In actuality however, Carey Place was named for the Carey Lumber company, which was owned by realtors/builders Callaway, Carey, and Foster who were responsible for the initial construction of the neighborhood.
