Daniel V. Lackey

The fourteenth mayor of Oklahoma City, Daniel Vorhes Lackey was born in Lawrence County, Illinois on November 2, 1877. He served as mayor for nearly eight months after the resignation of Henry M. Scales in October of 1910. In addition to serving as mayor of Oklahoma City, he also served as president of the Oklahoma City Stockyards Exchange. Lackey died in 1959 and is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.
